If you had a legal abortion with no known complications, it's unlikely that you'll have any problems conceiving or in your pregnancy because of it.

However, it may seem rude of me to say, but being 17, you should be worrying more about getting married and having a a child with someone. I don't care what anyone tells you, 17 is too young to really understand what marriage and child rearing is about. You'll need some serious support as in therapy and parenting classes in addition to your family (assuming they're supportive).

This really depends on where you live. In the state in which I live, most OB-GYN's do not have the vaccine yet. The health departments do and do not ask for proof of pregnancy. I would call the health department and ask them your question.

They require a signed note from your OB stating you're pregnant in order to receive the shot. Call your OB and schedule your first prenatal visit, chances are, you'll get the shot there.

The bottom line is that when an abortion has been conducted; legally, safely, professionally and providing there are no complications arising from it, there is no significant risk to the future fertility of the woman involved. A properly performed abortion will not affect the woman’s fertility.

~Pro-Choice Momma; Have had an abortion <no regrets> and I have a 14 month old daughter <no regrets>. I believe in protecting my daughter's choice.

There's no way to know before the 20 week ultrasound. All those ideas you may have heard about are just wives tales.

You can get one at the OB's office. Just call your doctor and tell them you just found out you're pregnant and you want the shot.

You can't at this stage. No symptom of the mother will tell you the gender of the foetus as early as this. You'll have to wait until at least 16 weeks and then it might be detectable by ultrasound.

Any way of predicting your child's gender by your symptoms (morning sickness etc) is just a superstition or old wives' tale and is scientifically worthless.
