  1. I quit smoking when I was pregnant. My 3 yr old is healthy, thank god. If you smoked & your kid got ill somehow, how could you not feel guilty? If something happened where my child gets ill, at least I can sleep at night knowing it was from nothing I did when I was pregnant. Don’t be so selfish!!! Quit smoking if you are pregnant!

my doctors told me that if i dont quit i need to at least cut down…i was at a pack a day now im down to at least 3 cigs…they said this cause the stress that causes you to smoke can harm the baby more than smoking itself…not only could it cause harm to your baby but also to yourself…my mom smoked while she was pregnant with me and im perfectly fine…yea yea i smoke but not cause of my mom…it was my choice one night and decided to take it

My aunt smoked up to the day she went into labor with her baby. My cousin IS fine, and healthy, and all she has (luckily) are minor breathing problems. My aunt still smokes about a pack a day, and so does her boyfriend, my cousin’s dad. Basically my cousin has been exposed to these horrible toxins since 1996, up to this date. It’s a pity, really.

why don’t you ask yourself what viable ALTERNATIVE stress relievers other than smoking are available to pregnant smokers… SOCIAL SUPPORT… ATTENTION and proper PARTNERSHIP collectively have a positive impact on the mother and the fetus’s health… smoking on the other hand increases the odds of a low birth weight… CO poisoning, asthma, mental disorders and debilitating malformations.. a parent owes a promising life to his/her offspring..it is better to quit.. ask a smoker..

Also, try searching what stress does to your body. When it comes to increased heart rates, blood pressure, anything that magically seems to be a cause from smoking, you will be surprised with how very similar the affects of stress resemble the affects of smoking. Don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying it’s okay to smoke while pregnant, i’m simply just stating that all of the things that people are saying out there about it, just seem to be a little fishy.

over something through out your pregnancy. And every single pregnant women stresses, if you say you don’t, you’re lying. And like I said previously, there is no absolute evidence that smoking is the cause of problems in pregnancies, it’s an assumption. It’s the stress ladies, the fear of something going wrong, or the fear of less income, or the fear of being a mother, or the fear of not being accepted as a mother. STRESS!

That it is JUST smoking that causes these problems. I have personally whitness a heavy smoker continue to smoke during her three pregnancies, and nothing wrong occured with her pregnancies. The doctor she was seeing had told her that since she is such a heavy smoker, that instantly quitting cold turkey would actually harm the baby more than if she were to continue due to stress related problems. In my opinion, it’s stress that causes defects, because no matter what you do, you’re stressing

the percentage of smokers, doctors and scientists tend to relate any problems with smoking to unknown reasons of birth defects. The problem they encounter is that women who don’t smoke still have the same problems as most women who do, it just seems to be more common with pregnant smokers, so they assume that’s the cause. But what about outdooor pollution, eating junk food, drinking, etc? Doctors and scientists seem to have forgotten that a lot of pregnant women do that too! So it’s hard to…

Now this is where the controversy comes from.
Scientists assume that smoking while pregnant is bad, which yes it is; however they can’t pin point whether or not it’s smoking that causes respiratory problems or genetics. Unfortunately it is extremely difficult to say completely 100% that smoking will hurt the child permanently, because there isn’t any absoulte evidence to prove it. For years there have been SIDS, asthma, still birth, etc. And no body could explain it, so with the increase in..

  10. My sister smokes constantly, drinks beer all the time, and smokes pot every day while she is pregnant. She is the most selfish, idiotic person I know. She makes me sick. She will not listen to anyone. I feel like disowning her and I wish I could have her arrested for it so they could save the baby.

    Smokeing is yummmy

FlowingGeisha omg your giving me a headache, yes smoking and drinking are both bad, and you do not want to do them while you are pregnant. I never said that drinking or smoking are healthy stop putting words in my mouth. And your right about even in the ealry stages it isnt healthy thats why as soon as you find out your pregnant you need to stop, like I did.

  16. So drinking alcohol is great and healthy for a baby. Smoking is great and healthy for a baby when it goes through the umbilical cord. Even the early stages of pregnancy can’t be healthy. What are the health risks?

  17. smallvillefreak18181 12. Mar, 2010 at 11:42 pm

Ms FlowingGeisha do you not know how to read well I suggest your try again.” Im pregnant with my 3 child and I smoked until i found out, having a little life in you should be enough reason to stop. ” this was only part of the comment i made, I STOPED ONCE I FOUND OUT!! can you read that and your the stupid one for not being able to, dont leave me nasty comments again.

  18. Since when is smoking good for pregnancy? You’re so stupid. Unless you want a weird looking and unhealthy baby.

  19. I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.

    Nice.

  20. If you smoke whilst you’re pregnant you don’t deserve your baby. Because you’re only thinking about your own needs, not your babies, and will probably will continue to do so. shame on you.

  21. smoking is bad

  22. What they fail to mention , mere exposure to a chemical in no way constitutes poisoning. It’s the dose that causes poisoning.

  23. smallvillefreak18181 13. Mar, 2010 at 2:20 am

well let me see, I will try and explain this to you again, ready… EVERY PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT!!! Just because other women smoked and their babies were fine doesnt mean someone else will be, you take a risk everytime. And As for the asthma, I will belive my doc before I believe you, learn you facts before you preach to people, once again your young and dumb, trust me ive been there, but hopefully becomming a mom will fix that. Grow up and learn fact before you speak

  24. bibbityboppity01 13. Mar, 2010 at 2:57 am

YOU CANNOT BE BORN WITH CHRONIC ASTHMA. IT DEVELOPS… and who is to say her asthma, or your asthma was caused by mothers smoking while pregnant????
look at the people in this world… Smoking while pregnant was never a big deal until recent years…
people whom smoked while pregnant before had perfectly healthy babies.

  25. smallvillefreak18181 13. Mar, 2010 at 3:13 am

ok ok ms. bibbityboppity01 just because these “other” women smoked and had no problems with their babies, doesn’t mean that you will not or another mother will not as well, Every pergnancy is different no two are alike, as for asthma im sry but what you said is bull I have asthma and I was born with it, try doing some research. dont run your mouth about things you dont know, Im pregnant with my 3 child and I smoked until i found out, having a little life in you should be enough reason to stop.
